Glamping at Longing For Home Bed and Breakfast

In a recent web-posting Hotel Interactive posted an article by Caryn Eve Murray entitled "Hot Hotel Trend - Glamping"  with a subtitle that reads "Glamping or Glamor Camping, is quickly becoming the next big travel trend, even in New York City!" This article describes "Glamping" as sleeping in sleeping bags on air mattresses out on a open air balcony (with a great view of New York).

Longing For Home has been "Glamping" since early 2009 when one of our guests coined this term in describing the experience they enjoyed while sleeping on our Sleeping Porch!  When you "glamp" on our Sleeping Porch you enjoy a controlled, virtually bug-free environment while you listen to the sounds of a Southern night and awake to the sounds of birds singing each morning.  You sleep on twin trundle beds that connect to provide a king sized bed or that can be separated as your visit requires.

Here "glamping" includes access to our large, 5-seat hot tub in which your can take in the a starry sky at night or, often, view an eagle as it soars, or deer grazing.  You also will experience a unique "Steam-Shower" complete with radio, foot massage, and aromatherapy, as well as, comfortable wicker love-seat and rocker as you enjoy nature from an intimate setting.

Sounds fun?  Bring back memories of visits to Grandma's house?

Have a blessed Day. Betty Maloney
